Glass skin is a function, not a filter: the Korean case for treating the cause
When your skin looks flat and tired, the usual reflex is to reach for another serum. Often that is the wrong move, because dullness is rarely a product problem. It is usually a sign that one of three things is going on beneath the surface: build-up sitting on top, dehydration, or renewal that has quietly slowed with time.
Glow is a by-product, not a finish
The Korean skin-health approach we lean on treats glow as something skin does when it is working properly, not a shine you paint on at the end. Get the underlying skin healthy and light reflects off it more evenly. Chase the finish alone and you are forever topping up something that keeps fading.
Two causes, two different paths
This matters because the right step depends on the cause. Surface build-up and congestion often respond quickly. A treatment like hydrodermabrasion lifts away the tired outer layer, and skin tends to look fresher soon after.
Slowed renewal is a different story. When the skin itself needs deeper support, a regenerative option such as PRP skin rejuvenation may earn a place, usually as a course with sensible spacing. Changes build gradually and vary from person to person.
Why the order matters
Working out which driver is actually at play for you comes first, otherwise it is easy to spend time and effort on the wrong thing. That is the whole point of assessing skin texture and dullness in person, honestly, before any plan is set.
Glass skin, at its heart, is skin functioning well. It is worth understanding what your skin needs before you decide how to help it.
